Dr. Joel Adkins

Licensed Chiropractor since 2001

 

Dr. Adkins, a lifelong Alaskan, graduated from Oregon State University in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance with a focus on Sports Medicine. Dr. Adkins received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2001 from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA.

 

Currently, Dr. Adkins serves on the board of the Alaska Chiropractic Society, a member of the American Chiropractic Association, and Alaska’s only certified Active Release Technique (ART) Instructor.

 

Dr. Adkins is a graduate of whiplash and brain traumatology from San Diego Spine Research Institute. He is eligible for Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and also has Correction & Prescription Certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine.

 

Dr. Adkins has spent thousands of hours as a team physician for football, basketball and soccer throughout the Anchorage community. In his free time, Dr. Adkins enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching, skiing and being with his family in and around Alaska.
